The Oompa-Loompas are a very rare, crazy, and small kind of creatures. Their metabolism make them susceptible to umpalumpean throat infections, which makes them sing very badly. The Loompas are from Loompaland, a tiny town which oompaloompea them to be tiny. These littlebeings have an amazing ability to create history, unlike, for example, humans who are just a part of it.

“Avatar” is a film written and produced by James Cameron in 2009. It is an American science-fiction production which won three awards: for Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects; indeed, it surpassed the well-recognized and most awarded film, “Titanic”. The soundtrack was held by James Horner, who recorded a chorus singing in Na’vi’s language. The main song of the film “I see you” was composed and produced by Horner, too and interpreted by Leona Lewis. The video-clip of the song was directed by Jake Nava. The main actor is Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana but there are some worth-mentioning characters such as: Michelle RodrÃguez, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, C. C. H. Pounder, Wes Studi and Laz Alonso. The story takes place in 2154 in a polyphomus planet called Pandora, inhabited by the Na’vi, 10-foot-tall, blue-skinned sapient humanoids, who live in harmony with nature and worship the mother goddess, a tree of life called Eywa. A group of people (scientists and private security force) are trying to get the mineral that this tree provides, so they have created the “Avatar Programme”, in which humans are genetically connected to Na’vi’s bodies. Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) is chosen to get on with them and convince the Na’vi to leave the place. He, soon, gets to know the Na’vi’s culture and realizes they have a strong and important connection with nature and they will not leave Pandora. A war between humans and the Na’vi is unavoidable. Being critical, we have to admit that the production makes a big effort in this film, all is thought to let us speechless. What it is most remarkable is the visual effects of the film; the creation of a whole new planet. All the living creatures in it are admirable. Each of the actors/actresses performs an excellent job and the soundtrack helps us feel totally connected with the film, making us part of Pandora. I totally recommend this film; I think you are going to enjoy the visual effects and the story itself which, in my opinion, makes reference of the government‘s power over the protection of nature. It is shown in the story that it is much more important the purchase of things rather than the defence of the living. It carries a strong message for people to think over about what we are doing with our natural resources.

Dear Ms. Carranza, I’m contacting you regarding our meeting, to arrange some details about it. To start with, the manager of the travel agency told me to talk to you in respect of the options I have when choosing the hotel. Besides, I would like to know if the catering service is included in the price of the course. If not, it could be very useful to me if you could recommend some places near the hotel. Moreover, as my itinerary is not already fixed, I would like to know which days we will not have planned activities. It would be really helpful if you send me the fixed schedule of the course, so I can start organizing myself. Yours cordially, Cecilia Ortiz Cavis Receptionist 0260 - 154343834

Dear Maju,
It’s been ages since the last time we saw each other, I hope everything is ok. I’m writing to tell you that I’ll be in town next week to take a course for my job. Unfortunately, I don’t know where I’m staying in; neither do I know when I’m going to be free. However, as soon as I know about it, I’ll let you know so we can arrange a meeting some day. There are so many things to talk to! I can’t wait to see you. Well, write me back and tell me what time you are free. Give my love to your mum.
